Description
ProMatrix™ Engineered Fiber Matrix™ is a fully biodegradable bonded fibre matrix composed of 100% recycled Thermally Refined™ (thermally treated) wood fibres, wavy fused biodegradable fibres and biopolymers of natural origin. ProMatrix is phytosanitary treated, it does not contain harmful plasticised or plastic-coated grid, and after maturing, it creates a tightly porous and absorbent layer that promotes plant germination and growth. ProMatix may require 24–48 hours of maturing to achieve maximum efficiency.
ADVANTAGES OF THE PRODUCT
- erosion protection for very steep slopes ≤ 1: 1,
- it achieves or exceeds the efficiency of bonded fibre matrix (BFM),
- equivalent efficiency to most erosion protection linings,
- rough granulated slopes,
- accelerated establishment of vegetation.
APPLICATION
The product ProMatrix™ is suitable for medium to steep slopes ≤ 1: 1. The product is applied to the surface using a water sowing machine.

* At uniform application of 3900 kilograms/hectare under laboratory conditions. 1. Test methods according to ASTM developed for erosion protection agents in rolls modified for hydraulic erosion protection agents. 2. Surface coverage is calculated as the ratio of soil loss on treated surfaces compared to untreated control surfaces. 3. Percentage efficiency = 1 - Surface coverage * 100%. 4. Extensive testing was performed at the Utah Water Research Laboratory and Texas Transportation Institute. For detailed testing information, contact a technical service representative of the company Profile at 800-508-8681 or +1-847-215-3464. 5. The time of action is the estimated time based on findings from the field, where it was found that the agent can provide erosion protection and agronomic benefit depending on the composition as well as specific field conditions, including but not limited to temperature, humidity, lighting, soil, biological activity, vegetation establishment and other environmental factors. 6. Heated for 5 minutes to a temperature greater than 193 degrees Celsius at a pressure greater than 345 kPa. In this way appropriate phytosanitary and thermal treatment are achieved.
