Description
ProGanics® DUAL™ Biotic Soil + Erosion Control is a Biotic Erosion Control Matrix (BECM) designed to efficiently accelerate the development of poor soil/substrates with a low organic content and determined with biological activity, on the other hand also as an erosion protection with a simple application with a single step. The product ProGanics DUAL is non-toxic, it contains bark and wood fibres that have been phytosanitary treated to eliminate weed seeds and pathogens. After phytosanitary treatment, a mixture of wetting substances, cross-linked biopolymers, water absorbents, biochar, seaweed extract, humic acid, endomycorrhizas, beneficial bacteria and wavy fused biodegradable fibres from renewed plant sources is added to the product. The result is a product that has the same erosion protection efficiency as bonded fibre matrix while restoring denuded soil and promoting vegetation establishment. When applied to the soil surface, ProGanics DUAL creates a continuous, porous, absorbent and flexible coating resistant to erosion and promotes plant germination and growth. The product ProGanics DUAL may require 24-48 hours of maturing to achieve maximum performance.
ADVANTAGES OF THE PRODUCT
- erosion protection for medium to steep slopes ≤ 2 : 1,
- establishment of fertile soil with low organic matter content (< 5 %),
- rapid establishment and sustainable growth of vegetation,
- alternative to expensive and difficult-to-supply epidermis and compost,
- simple and effective application in a single step.
APPLICATION
The product ProGanics® DUAL™ is suitable for medium to steep slopes ≤ 2: 1. The product is applied to the surface using a water sowing machine.

* At uniform application of 7290 kilograms/hectare under laboratory conditions. 1. Test methods according to ASTM developed for erosion protection agents in rolls modified for hydraulic erosion protection agents. 2. Surface coverage is calculated as the ratio of soil loss on treated surfaces compared to untreated control surfaces. 3. Percentage efficiency = 1 - Surface coverage * 100%. 4. Extensive testing was conducted at a research laboratory in Utah. For detailed testing information, contact a technical service representative of the company Profile at 800-508-8681 or +1-847-215-1144. 5. The time of action is the estimated time based on findings from the field, where it was found that the agent can provide erosion protection and agronomic benefit depending on the composition as well as specific field conditions, including but not limited to temperature, humidity, lighting, soil, biological activity, vegetation establishment and other environmental factors. 6. Heated for 5 minutes to a temperature greater than 193 degrees Celsius at a pressure greater than 345 kPa. In this way appropriate phytosanitary and thermal treatment are achieved.
