Removal of existing turf
Complete renovation of a lawn, paving, or planting trees require removal of a thin upper layer, so the old turf.

This is to prevent the old turf remainders to affect the new arrangement and to provide a cleared and leveled base for later work. We do not remove any soil, which can stay, so the level ground lowered.
Trees and shrubs grow at our nursery for several years!
