toothed ligularia "Desdemona"

Medium-sized, bushy upright deciduous perennial (H 90-110 cm, W 60-80 cm). Leaves kidney-shaped to round (12-15 cm), at first red-violet, later dark brown-green to green, underneath red-brown. Flowers in dense flower heads (4-8 cm) on branched, upright stems, orange-yellow. Flowering period: July-September. Attracts butterflies and bees. Needs light, humus-rich and always moist soils.
