Description
Large, upright, broad, moderately growing deciduous tree (H 15-20 m, W 10-15 m). Crown broadly ovate to rounded. Bark on young shoots green-brown, later grey to grey-brown, distinctly flaky. Leaves broad-palmate (8-14 cm), 5-lobed, leaflets wide, regular, with pointed tips; with a sparsely serrate margin; leaves mid to dark green; autumn colour yellow, orange to red. Flowers yellow-green. Flowering period: April. Fruits winged, in pairs (acute angle, wings parallel to each other), light brown. Ripening time: September-October. Easily withstands deep shadow, grows best in deep, moderately moist soils, with planty room for roots.
