Description
Medium-sized, upright, clump-forming, slow growing, frost tolerant evergreen shrub (H 1,5-2 m, W 1-2 m). Stems and branches short, thick. Leaves develop atop of each branch, forming a dense rosette. Leaves lanceolate (30-60 cm), upright to drooping, smooth, leathery, variegated, blue-green to dark green, with a yellow margin. Flowers in light, fertile, upright inflorescence (1 m), bell-shaped (4-5 cm), cream white, eventually with red-violet hue. Flowering period: July-September. Attracts butterflies and bees. Grows well in sufficiently drained, dry to moderately moist soils, in sunny, warm sites, withstands drought and heat.
