Branches hanging. Bark thin, red-brown, later lightly fissured. Needles alternately arranged along the twig, softe, flat (1-2 cm), bright light green, autumn colour yellow-orange to orange-red. Flowers in egg-shaped inflorescence, unremarkable. Flowering period: March-April. Fruits cones, broadly egg-shaped to ovate (2-3 cm), green-brown to dark brown.
