Description
The limit wire has a diameter of 3.8 mm together with the outer green sheath and is suitable for all brands of robotic lawnmowers.
The advantage is the 3-layer additional protection - wire-insulation-armor or additional protection - sheath. This ensures better protection against extreme weather conditions, human damage, rodents and other animals.
The limit wire is cut by the meter (length on the reel is 500 m). We reserve the right to deliver in two pieces, depending on the available lengths from stock.
INSTALLATION OF THE LIMIT AND GUIDE WIRE FOR THE ROBOTIC LAWN
The wire can be installed in the ground or under the lawn or on its surface. Each method has its advantages. When installed in the ground, the wire is better protected against possible mechanical damage, sun and other external factors, but in the event of damage, it is more difficult to locate. When installed on the surface of a lawn, it is more exposed to the aforementioned potential risks, which are easier to find in the event of damage.
- Laying the limit wire
Using a wire laying machine (or manually), we install the boundary wire at the edges of the lawn. We start laying the wire at the location where the charging station is planned and end at the same location. The boundary wire limits the mowing area where the robotic lawnmower moves.
- Determining the junction point of the limit and guide wire
While laying the boundary wire, we stand at the farthest end of the garden, where we make a loop that determines where we will connect the boundary wire to the guide wire. Then we continue laying the boundary wire.
- Laying the limit wire
We break the boundary wire at the loop that we made when laying the boundary wire, and connect it to the guide wire using a gel clip. The guide wire is then laid through the middle of the garden to the charging station. The purpose of the guide wire is to direct the robotic lawnmower to the charging station when needed (e.g. charging, playing on the lawn, etc.). With the help of the guide wire, the robotic lawnmower finds the shortest route to the charging station, regardless of its current location.
