Description
Medium-sized, broad, bushy evergreen shrub (H 2-2,5 m, W 2-4 m). Branches upright to broadly open, dense, thorny. Leaves ovate to narrowly egg-shaped (3-4 cm), smooth, slightly glossy, dark green. Flowers in numerous, dense umbels, small, simple (0,5 cm), cream white, scented. Fruits very numerous, round (0,4 cm), fleshy, dark orange. Ripening time: September-October, fruits persist on branches through the winter. Attracts butterflies, bees and birds. An undemanding species, withstands urban conditions, heat, drought, cold and pruning. The variety is a cross Pyracantha coccinea × P. rogersiana.
